PVT is a full bodied wine with ripe tannins across the entire palate. Aromas of black fruits and violet lead to dominant flavors of blackberry and plum. A long lingering finish with notes of baking spices round out this well structured wine. Aged 20 months in barrel and another 16 months in bottle. You will find the 2013 PVT approachable after a few hours of decanting. This wine is built for the long haul and will age for at least 8-10 years. Only 8 barrels produced (198 cases).

"Mingling briars and brambles, this is a very fine blend with complexity of flavor, fine structure, and beautiful mouth feel. Dark and burnished on opening, it evolves nicely and shows a lively demeanor and tightness on the finish. It is a beauty. This wine should evolve well over the next decade." - The Wine Advocate
"PVT is the culmination of over a decade of winemaking for me in Virginia. It was born out of a desire to blend two of my favorite red varietals together to achieve a layered, complex, and full bodied wine to rival those of Northern California while remaining true to its Virginia roots. I believe that this wine is one of the best I have ever made." - Head Winemaker, Rob Cox
